Senator Regola presents $10k to Irwin VFD

State grant earmarked for firehouse improvements

Senator Bob Regola, R-39^th District, today (March 3) presented a $10,000 state grant to the Irwin Volunteer Fire Department.

“I’m extremely pleased to present this grant to the Irwin Volunteer Fire Department,” Senator Regola said. “The VFD currently uses almost all of its funding for vehicles and equipment. They have very little leftover to improve and upgrade their firehouse. This money will help them make needed improvements to that facility.”

The VFD plans to upgrade electrical outlets and lights throughout the facility, as well as improve its radio/dispatch area and replace all fixtures in its restroom.
