Senate adopts Regola Resolution honoring surveyors March 16th - 22nd designated “Land Surveyor Week in Pennsylvania” The Pennsylvania Senate today unanimously adopted a Resolution by Senator Bob Regola (R-39) marking March 16th through 22nd as “Land Surveyors Week” in Pennsylvania. “This Resolution not only honors the great men who worked as land surveyors, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Daniel Boone, and Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon -- the fathers of the Mason-Dixon line at the southern border of Pennsylvania,” said Sen. Regola. “It also honors the contributions made by all surveyors who have helped build the Pennsylvania we live in today and that will shape the world of tomorrow. The specialized training and specific skills of land surveyors remain essential as we rely upon precise measurements for developing our communities, our Commonwealth, and our nation.” Senate Resolution 258 was introduced on behalf of the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors, a statewide professional organization, which exists for the purpose of supporting, improving and enhancing the profession, its members, and the practice of land surveying. ### Contact: Nate Silcox (717) 787-6063
