Senator Regola presented a copy of his Local Government Week Resolution to Fred Reddig (Executive Director of the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services) and Ken Klothen (Deputy Secretary for Community Affairs and Development in the Department of Community and Economic Development).

 

April 11, 2008 - The Senate Local Government and Urban Affairs & Housing Committees, chaired by Senators Bob Regola and John Pippy respectively, held a public hearing in Greensburg focusing on “Multi-Municipal Planning and Share Services” amongst local governments.

 

 

 






March 13, 2008 - Senator Regola hosted a “Chat with the Chairman” event at the Greensburg Hose Company #1 with local government officials from Westmoreland County. The event featured a panel discussion with Senator Regola and representatives of the various local government associations. There was also a grant seminar for the officials.

May 8th: Senator Regola, Chairman of the Senate Local Government Committee, and Senator John Gordner (R-27), Chairman of the Senate Labor & Industry Committee, held a joint public hearing on the Uniform Construction Code. L&I Secretary Stephen Schmerin is pictured testifying at the hearing. 
March 21st: Senator Regola, Chairman of the Senate Local Government Committee, spoke with Representative Bob Freeman (D-136), Chairman of the House Local Government Committee.

March 21st: The Senate and House Local Government Committees held a joint hearing (“The State of Local Governments in Pennsylvania”). Prior to the hearing, Senator Regola (R-39) stood with (from left to right) Representative Stan Saylor (R-94), Representative Robert Freeman (D-136), and Senator Jim Ferlo (D-38), Chairmen of their respective Caucus Local Government Committees.
