lMUTUAL AID AMBULANCE SERVICE RECEIVES GRANT Senator Regola secures $20,000 for New Alexandria Station Senator Bob Regola, R-39th District, today presented a $20,000 grant to the Mutual Aid Ambulance Service (MAAS) for its New Alexandria Station. Senator Regola presented the check during a ceremony this morning (January 10) at MAAS’s main facility in Greensburg. Currently, MAAS leases space in New Alexandria for a one-ambulance bay facilily. The organization is currently building a new 2,500-square-foot station near the intersection of Routes 22 and 981 which will have space for 4 ambulance bays and a crew lounge/office area. The new station is expected to be completed this summer and will serve New Alexandria, Salem Township, Crabtree and parts of Derry Township. “I am very pleased to present this check to Mutual Aid Ambulance Service for the New Alexandria Station,” said Senator Regola. “I believe it is also important that we thank the men and women who staff these ambulances and handle the ever-increasing administrative burden that is part and parcel of today’s health care system. We’re here today to show our gratitude to you because you are here everyday for us.” ### Note: Additional information about MAAS is available by contacting Roger Gennaro, Medical Compliance Officer, at (724) 837-6134.
